Faithful and True

       Twelve weeks have elapsed since our first service on July 9th. As God states in His Word, “Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah. Psalms 39:5 And so I am reminded to continue-on for God wherever He has placed me realizing that my time is short, but His work is necessary. I am thankful that He is Faithful and True.

Twelve Weeks

During these twelve weeks, we have walked, ran, traipsed, waded and even crawled trying to get God’s work done. At times, it feels like we are the only ones laboring and at other times we experience the relief of friendship and support from churches and fellow Christians nearby. Over the last twelve weeks, we have removed four interior walls, put in new flooring, painted, etc. with the help of co-laborers in Christ from Lighthouse BC in Antigo, my oldest son Dakota and my wife and daughters. I am thankful for the seasonal visitors, including pastors and their families who have come through, like Pastor Inman and his wife from Brush Creek BC in Ohio along with their kids and grandkids pictured above. We have had forty+ visitors and we are working on building a core group from the surrounding communities. We have had a few visit from the area and one local family who regularly attends the services. It is slow going as we get the news out about the church, but we know that this is God’s church and He will bless all that is done to glorify His name.

Grand Opening

October 15th will be the date that we host our Grand Opening service. Since we have removed interior walls, we can seat 40-50 comfortably.  We are actively soul-winning and placing ads in the local papers to promote this special day. Please pray that God will continue to work on the hearts of those around us, so that we will have folks attend who are in search of Him. Some who are curious may come, but we want to see those who are interested in Christ attend. Pray that God will bless all the services, but especially the Grand Opening and all the efforts towards it and that Satan will not hinder God’s work here. At times, the spiritual battle is evident, but God is always in control.

Grace

 My family and I are in need of God’s grace as many of you are as well. Currently, myself, my wife and daughters are working and/or going to school. We do not take support from, but work hard to support the church, go soul-winning, remodel the building, etc. Please pray that God will strengthen us physically as we try to balance our busy schedules and continue in God’s work here in the North Woods. Also, within the next 3-10 months, two of our daughters will be headed to Bible college. Please pray for God’s blessing on their lives and His provision for folks to take their place in the ministry here. A lot will change over this next year, but God is faithful and consistent.

Thank you

As always, my family and I would like to thank each of you for your prayers and support. It is always a joy to serve the Lord with each of you in our different fields of ministry! May the Lord bless your year of 2017 as we labor together for the Lord.

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
I Thessalonians 1:2-3
May the Lord Bless,
