Great Things

December is now upon us and our family would like to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas as we stop to reflect upon Christ’s birth. Philippians 2:7 states, “But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:” I am so thankful that our Savior didn’t stop there, but took it a step further and went all the way to the cross so that we may have eternal life in Heaven!

Five Months

We have now reached our fifth month for this church. We have had many folks visit us as they pass through on vacation and we are thankful for the encouragement that they bring. Many have expressed their thanks for our presence in this needy area. Excitedly, we have one family from the area faithfully attending. They have been a great encouragement and we are excited about what God will do in their lives as they seek Him. Also, we have been inviting co-workers, friends, and neighbors and have had a few local families visit. To date, we have had fifty visitors and average fifteen in attendance for each service, this includes our family. Please pray that God will bring the local families that He wants to be a part of this church, the mid-week Bible study/service for the new year and for God’s perfect timing. Lastly, God has been so good to us and we are averaging a thousand dollars over our operational costs. Please pray that He continues to bless the finances of this church as the next seven months will determine its future.

Changes

As stated in October’s newsletter, some changes will be taking place in our family which will affect the church at first. After much prayer, my wife will be leaving her job at the end of this month and focusing her energies on the church. Also, my oldest daughter, Cheney, will leave January 5th to attend Master’s Baptist College in North Dakota to finish her Bible education. This affects the church in the areas of finances and service as our family gives and serves heavily in this ministry, as I know many of you do in your own churches. Please pray for God’s provision and blessings for our family and church during this transition. Thankfully, we have had some interest expressed by a few folks seeking to potentially move into this area and help this ministry, please pray that God will give these families clear direction for His will.

Merry Christmas and Thank You

As always, my family and I would like to thank each of you for your prayers and support. May the Lord bless this special month for you and your families. We are thankful for your prayers and support and we are excited about the approaching New Year 2018. God is doing great things!

May the Lord Bless,
