Happy New Year!
What a blessing it is to be used by the Lord in a new year! I pray that God will bless this year for each of us as we seek Him daily. Our church theme for this year, Rooted in Christ, is found in Colossians 2:7: “Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.” My goal is to strengthen this young church in biblical doctrine; growing in knowledge on what it means to be a Bible-based Baptist. We have given out a Bible-reading devotional as a daily reminder of this year’s theme.
I am excited to announce that Seth has graduated from WCBC and is actively serving as the Assistant Pastor. God has answered many prayers for this small church and in Seth’s life. We want to thank each of you for praying for this transition. Besides leading music and preaching one service a week, he is also learning the administrative and maintenance sides of the ministry. After he is married in May, he and his wife Dannel will begin a mid-week service that they will lead. Another answer to prayer is that the building owner will be covering the cost of new gravel and grading for the parking lot; this is a savings of over $2,400. Additionally, we hope to install another toilet in the basement this Summer. Please pray that God will provide for these funds as they are not in the budget (estimated over $1,000). Thank you again for your prayers.
2019 At a Glance
2019 was a great year! We had 40 first-time visitors and high attendance of 38. We grew in faithful and regular attenders who are also growing in the Lord. A mail-out to 3,500 doors was accomplished and we ended the year financially strong. God is good all the time.
Lastly, your prayer and financial support are always appreciated. We want to especially thank Riverview, New Hope, and Grace Baptist Churches for their support during these last 2 ½ years. Thank you for your faithful friendship. We are actively seeking God’s will and direction for everything we do, and your support encourages us to stay faithful.
May the Lord Bless,
